Trick or Treat!

Ready or Not, Here we come!
Kelsi (ice cream sundae), Karissa (baby),
Jacob (fisherman), Sam (superman).

And we're off!--faster than a speeding bullet!
Sam rode his scooter the whole time.
Half way through, he stopped knocking on doors,
and just rode his scooter around.
Then, when we got home, he wondered why Jacob
had so much more candy then he did!

Karissa and Kelsi went trick or treating with
their friend Sharisse this year.
They had a lot of fun, trick or treating,
and partying after.
It was like a 'farmers market'--swapping candy with each other.

Jacob LOVES candy!

Halloween Parades and Fun at School!

Wow, it's felt like Halloween all week--party after party!
Just before Sam went to bed tonight, he asked, "Mom, are there
anymore party's in the morning?" When I told him, no, he
sighed a sigh of relief. I think he's all partied out!

Sam with his Kindergarten teacher, Miss Robbins.
He LOVES Miss Robbins.
Sam switched costumes on us...
and suddenly wanted to be Super Man.
I guess I had to give him the liberty to change his mind,
seeing how I do it myself so often.
And it helped that we have a box full of costumes--
one of them being Super Man.

Karissa, in her final Halloween Parade!
She'll be in Junior High next year---Yikes!
She's growing up so fast...Am I really that old??

Jacob, doing some 'fishing' in his 3rd grade class--
--he came home with all sorts of tricks and treats.

I'm the room mom for Kelsi's 5th grade class.
So I got to party with her this year.
We had fun with games and pizza!
Kelsi's being a bit 'camera shy', and didn't want
me to take her picture. I guess you could say she's
trying to 'melt away' in her Ice cream Sundae costume.

Sam, "Lion", Watch out!

Jacob, "Fisherman", What a catch!

Kelsi, "Ice Cream Sundae", Yummy!

Karissa, "Baby", Oh....cutie...

Here is a video of after the Halloween Party--
as you can see, they had tons of fun.
Bet you can't guess who had the most fun!

Run, Run, as fast as you can! Can you catch the 'Ice Cream Kelsi?'

Oh the fun that comes from a Halloween costume box!
Sam's gaining on her!

I think he got a bite!

Now she's being nibbled from both sides!
You're just too tasty Kelsi!

Scarecrow Festival!!!

I took Sam, Kelsi, and Jacob to the Scarecrow Festival
at Thanksgiving Point.
It was a Festival of Fun!!

To start out, we waited in a 30 minute line to ride the Train!
It was a must for Sam, and the good news is
that was the end of our line waiting.

There were NO LINES for the blow up slides.
They had at least 10 blow up slides--
the kids went up and down non-stop.
They had a blast!
Here comes Jacob!
Yahoo!

The Fishing Pond was another highlight.

Wow--best fishing pond ever!
And, oh yea, we got balloon animals too!

As a grand finale, the animal farm was included for free.

Areta Sumsion Blake Funeral

Max and Areta Blake

The viewing and funeral were very nice.
We all love Great Grandma Blake (Areta) very much,
and are happy that she can be reunited with her husband.
Areta S. Blake passed away on October 4, 2008.
She had 42 grandchildren and 126 great grandchildren---WOW!
What a posterity! Those are the treasures that truly last forever!
Grandma was an amazing lady, who was a great example to me.
It was neat to go to the funeral and see all my cousins and family.

Bryan, Mindy
Karissa, Kelsi, Sam, Jacob

We love our cousins!
(Ann and Keith Blake family)

Sam with Uncle Randy
Sam thinks Uncle Randy is the coolest guy ever!
He has so much fun with him.
When we would go to visit Great Grandma Blake,
Sam would ask, "Is that fun guy going to be there?"
Sam LOVES Uncle Randy!
As you can see from the look on his face,
he is very excited to see him!

(Sam)
After the funeral, we all went over to a mansion that my cousin,
William Blake, rented for everyone.
It was a lot of fun to see everyone.
The kids loved the basement
where there were built in play houses.

I GOT MY FREE GIFT!

This conference weekend I went to 'ladies night' with my sisters and niece. I was determined to get a free gift this year! So we went plenty early, and they wouldn't even pass out any numbers for another 30 minutes. So I pretty much followed the lady in charge around because I wanted to be sure I got a number. Anyhow, I got my free gift...first time ever I got one at ladies night! The crazy thing is I don't have anywhere to hang it up!
Oh well, the important thing is we had fun together!

Socks on Roof tops!

Now why would I be climbing the monkey bars only
to reach my hand into an old and dirty rain gutter?!?!?
You guessed it--I would have SAM to thank for that!
Sam's cousin, Gavin, came to play--
they were having so much FUN!
When it was time for Gavin to go home,
Sam did NOT want Gavin to leave.
So, he thought throwing Gavin's sock on the roof
would cause Gavin to stay and play!

So, with a boost from Kerrie,
I manged to get on top of those monkey bars,
and I fished Gavin's sock out with a stick!
Oh the fun adventures boys bring us!!

Climbing Trees

"I'm ALL boy!"
Sam just figured out how to climb trees in our back yard.
It must be the most fun he's had since he learned to ride a 2 wheeler!
