May 2011

We've been busy with end of year events :)

Kelsi had her final orchestra concert...she's done great this year! She got an award at her concert for being "VERY DEDICATED".  She does a great job practicing and really enjoys playing the violin.  For the final piece at her Orchestra concert, they attached glo sticks to their bows and turned the lights off and yes, played in the dark.  It looked really cool watching all the glowing bows :)

Karissa also did a great job at her final band concert.  And she goes to her first official Marching Band practice tomorrow.  She's decided to do Marching Band at Lehi High School.  They'll be going to Washington DC July 2012...she's already started to save/earn $ for that.

Jacob is enjoying Cello lessons.  He worked really hard on his State Report for 5th grade...he's learned a lot about Virginia and is excited to take Apple butter and bread to school when he does his report as apples are quite abundant in Virginia.

Sam just finished his final project on Wild Rabbits for school...Kelsi helped out a lot with it :)

We had a fun family day on Sat.  We went out to the geode pits in Dugwood, and dug for GEODES, and found some great sparkly treasures.  We brought them home, cleaned them up, and had our own rock show.  We all had a lot of fun!  Kelsi even caught some tadpoles...was going to keep them as pets, but they died.  At least rocks can't die :)

We're getting excited for Summer!
