Scarecrow Festival!!!

I took Sam, Kelsi, and Jacob to the Scarecrow Festival
at Thanksgiving Point.
It was a Festival of Fun!!

To start out, we waited in a 30 minute line to ride the Train!
It was a must for Sam, and the good news is
that was the end of our line waiting.

There were NO LINES for the blow up slides.
They had at least 10 blow up slides--
the kids went up and down non-stop.
They had a blast!

Here comes Jacob!

The Fishing Pond was another highlight.

Wow--best fishing pond ever!
And, oh yea, we got balloon animals too!

As a grand finale, the animal farm was included for free.

Areta Sumsion Blake Funeral

The viewing and funeral were very nice.
We all love Great Grandma Blake (Areta) very much,
and are happy that she can be reunited with her husband.
Areta S. Blake passed away on October 4, 2008.
She had 42 grandchildren and 126 great grandchildren---WOW!
What a posterity! Those are the treasures that truly last forever!
Grandma was an amazing lady, who was a great example to me.
It was neat to go to the funeral and see all my cousins and family.

He has so much fun with him.
When we would go to visit Great Grandma Blake,
Sam would ask, "Is that fun guy going to be there?"

he is very excited to see him!

After the funeral, we all went over to a mansion that my cousin,
William Blake, rented for everyone.
It was a lot of fun to see everyone.
The kids loved the basement
where there were built in play houses.

I GOT MY FREE GIFT!

This conference weekend I went to 'ladies night' with my sisters and niece. I was determined to get a free gift this year! So we went plenty early, and they wouldn't even pass out any numbers for another 30 minutes. So I pretty much followed the lady in charge around because I wanted to be sure I got a number. Anyhow, I got my free gift...first time ever I got one at ladies night! The crazy thing is I don't have anywhere to hang it up!
Oh well, the important thing is we had fun together!

You guessed it--I would have SAM to thank for that!

Sam's cousin, Gavin, came to play--
they were having so much FUN!
When it was time for Gavin to go home,
Sam did NOT want Gavin to leave.
So, he thought throwing Gavin's sock on the roof
would cause Gavin to stay and play!

So, with a boost from Kerrie,
I manged to get on top of those monkey bars,
and I fished Gavin's sock out with a stick!
Oh the fun adventures boys bring us!!

Climbing Trees

Sam just figured out how to climb trees in our back yard.
It must be the most fun he's had since he learned to ride a 2 wheeler!

Girls Weekend!! Sept. 2008

Karissa, Kelsi, and I hitched a ride with Grandma and Grandpa Blake and took off to Cache Valley for the weekend, while Bryan took the boys on a ward father/son camp out.
It was so much fun! It's great to have those girl times!

It was fun to see my sisters, Julie and Kristi. We went out to lunch, shopped, and went to the General Women's Conference at Julie's Stake center. The conference was great. I especially liked Pres. Uchtdorf's talk about creating and being compassionate.

Hayley, Kelsi, and Karissa had GREAT fun together!!
They were the babysitters Sat. night while we went to the conference.

We spent Sat. night at the Hiatt's. Karissa and Kelsi had a pajama party with Kaitlyn and Melanie--everyone was very excited!
