MEMORIAL DAY: GRAVE SITES

This year we went with my parents
and the Hiatts to visit grave sties.

KyLee's Grave site.

This year our family decided to write letters, with memories, for each grave site we visited. Here is what we wrote...

Jacob also made homemade flowers
to put on each of the grave sites.

Grandpa Spencer Leavitt Taylor's grave site.
We also made a card for him, but did not get a picture of it.
Here's some memories of Grandpa:
Delicious chicken fry in the canyon,
good stories and good laughs, the kids loved visiting him,
and they also loved seeing the parrot and the bunny,
which often led him to be called 'the parrot grandpa'.

LOCKS OF LOVE

Karissa has been growing her hair for a LONG time...
...simply out of love, to give to another.

After waiting great lengths...
her hair finally reached the right length.

So we're off to our favorite Hair Stylist, Alona.
Check it out...that hair is LONG!

...her GIFT to another.

Beautiful Karissa!--We love you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELSI!

Kelsi got her birthday fun early when she got her bunny, Oreo, last month, but we'll put a bow on this cute bunny to remind her.
Best Birthday Present Ever--Oreo!

Happy 11th Birthday Kelsi!

Kelsi had a fun party with her friends...including Oreo :)
(Sharisse, Whitney, Kelsi, Oreo, Karissa, Mariah)

Karissa gave Kelsi a great present...an Oreo T-shirt, it says
"How can you say no to this face?"--which is something Kelsi is always saying about Oreo.

We had more cake and extra fun when Grandparents came up to celebrate Kelsi's birthday.

HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY SAM!

Sam had a great birthday! He got a color pixter and lots of other fun toys. He had a really fun and spontaneous, last minute party with some of his cousins. Cake, presents, and games with cousins--what more could a 6 year old want?
Presents!
(Alyssa, Karissa, Hayley, Luke, Sam)

Cupcakes for a Moose!
Sam wore his moose mask at pretty much the entire party.

Who's behind that mask?
(Sam, Makayla, Alyssa, Jeff)

Games!
(Sam, Makayla, Blake, Jeff, Kelsi, Luke, Hayley, Jacob)

Horse even got in on the fun
as we played "new horse, new horse, old horse."

Easter

We had a great Easter celebration at Grandma and Grandpa Blake's...the traditional coloring of brown paper bags....and then the hunt for candy in the front room! What simple, treasured fun!
