Karissa and Kelsi were at girls camp all week. While they were
gone, we had
ANOTHER PUPPY ADVENTURE.
One of our sweet puppies almost
died..really, almost died. It was sad and scary.
It was SO HOT last
Wednesday...103 degrees!
The puppy got heat stroke BAD!
Sam helped out by
watching Tink in the backyard and Bryan and I
and Jacob nursed the puppy back to health (thank goodness for Bryan, he
got us going)....
...ice cubes, cold rags, cold running water, homemade
pedialyte...
...and most importantly PRAYER.
Jacob, Sam and Bryan and I all
prayed for this puppy to live. I knew that if Heavenly Father wanted
the puppy to live that He could put life back into this puppy, and our
prayer was answered...the puppy lived! We are very grateful. The Lord
does answer prayers. The puppy is doing amazingly well. It's hard to
believe it's the same puppy. We had to also help one of the other
puppies (not as bad as the first one)....and he recovered as well. Wednesday
night we brought all the puppies and Tink into the garage with fans to keep them cool. They look better every day! :)
Bryan and Jacob left early this morning for a camp out...3 miles hiking with backpacks and then camping overnight.
Sam
is getting ready to start at Renaissance. I met with the principal
today and she was good to talk to and sounds like they have a good
special ed program. Sam gets to meet her and take a tour of the school
this Tues :)
I start preschool meetings next week...so summer is just about over
for me! Next week is packed! But it will be nice to get back into the
routine of school...a season for everything...nice that we have school
time and summer time :)
